A competition will award a prize to the most original Instagram reel that best conveys the spirit of Christmas in the Barrio.
After last year’s great success, the six wineries that make up the Barrio de la Estación Association -Bodegas Roda, Bodegas Muga, Gómez Cruzado, Viña Pomal Bodegas Bilbaínas, CVNE and La Rioja Alta, S.A.- are joining forces once again this Christmas with a range of joint activities. The aim is to once again make this unique place in Haro the perfect destination to enjoy and toast with family or friends on such a special time of year.
Among the actions planned, in addition to the Christmas atmosphere that will make it even more exciting to stroll among the emblematic buildings of these wineries, is the possibility of visiting the six Wine Bars which, as happened in 2021, will once again extend their usual opening hours to welcome a greater number of local and foreign visitors.
On Friday 2 December, after the inaugural toast, an enogastronomic route will begin, which will run from 18:00 to 20:30 on 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16 and 17 December. For every glass of wine worth more than €4 purchased at any of the six winebars, a free tapa will be given away while stocks last.
In addition, from the day of the Christmas opening until 5 January inclusive, all wine tourism activities – visits, guided tastings, wine tastings by the glass, meals, etc. – will be recorded in an individual passport that will be stamped at each of the six wineries. The completed passports, which must be deposited in the ballot boxes set up for the occasion, will be entered into a draw to win five exclusive lots of six bottles, one from each winery.
The wineries also want to award a very special prize to the most original reel shared on Instagram that best conveys the Christmas spirit and enjoyment of the Barrio over the festive season. The winner will be able to enjoy a double ticket for the next edition of Station District Wine Experience.
Another magnificent opportunity to visit a place that, at this time of year, is even more endearing and exciting thanks to initiatives like this one which, with the joint work of its associates and the sponsorship of La Rioja Turismo, continue to promote the culture of wine and wine tourism throughout the year in a historic enclave that is unique in the world.
