The organisers of the third edition of LA CATA DEL BARRIO DE LA ESTACIÓN are scheduling trains from Logroño and buses from Madrid, Burgos, Pamplona, Vitoria, Bilbao, San Sebastián and Ezcaray to travel to Haro and back within the day on 16 June. The BARRIO DE LA ESTACIÓN wineries are providing transport so that wine lovers can comfortably and safely enjoy the great Rioja wine and gastronomy festival, which will be held next Saturday 16 June in this emblematic area of Haro, where the largest concentration of hundred-year-old wineries in the world is located.

Considered by wine critics as the best wine and wine tourism experience in Spain, this third edition of LA CATA DEL BARRIO DE LA ESTACIÓN will be an unforgettable day for oenophiles and gourmets who, from 11 am to 6 pm, will enjoy the tasting of an exclusive selection of fourteen great wines produced by the most emblematic historic wineries of the Spanish wine scene: López de Heredia Viña Tondonia, CVNE, Gómez Cruzado, La Rioja Alta, S.A., Viña Pomal Bodegas Bilbau, S.A., Viña Pomal Bodegas Bilbaínas, Muga and Bodegas RODA. The Michelin-starred Rioja chefs Francis Paniego (El Portal de Echaurren) and the Echapresto Brothers (Venta Moncalvillo) will prepare seven gastronomic creations for the occasion that will harmonise perfectly with each of the wines and Juan Ángel Rodrigálvarez, winner of the National Gastronomy Award for Best Pastry Chef, will add a sweet touch to the big party in the BARRIO DE LA ESTACIÓN. Live music, an extensive programme of cultural and wine-related activities and a free tour of some of the surprising and unique spaces housed in the wineries will complete this great event.
