- The Barrio de la Estación Winery Association is maintaining its wine tourism activities this year and will continue to promote safe tourism in its facilities and outdoor spaces.
- Tickets already purchased for the two postponed editions will continue to be valid in 2022.
The Barrio de la Estación Association has decided to move La Cata del Barrio de la Estación scheduled for June 2021 to 18 June 2022, with the aim of holding a wine and gastronomy event with all the health guarantees, so that those attending can enjoy this special day of wine and gastronomy to the full.
The new postponement is due to the responsibility of the Association and its eagerness to guarantee the best of experiences during the celebration of La Cata del Barrio de la Estación, ensuring a safe and pleasant day for all attendees.
In the words of the president of the Barrio de la Estación Wineries Association, María Urrutia: “We want each edition of La Cata del Barrio de la Estación to be an unforgettable experience for the attendees and that is why we have decided to hold it in 2022, when we hope to have left behind all the effects that the pandemic has had on tourism and the enjoyment of wine. By then, we want to ensure a day full of fun around wine and gastronomy in a unique space in the world such as the Barrio de la Estación and touring wineries that await their visitors with open arms”.
In addition, during this year, the Association will continue to promote activities in this emblematic place in Haro for all visitors who wish to visit, offering a multitude of possibilities for safe wine tourism throughout the year, both inside the wineries and especially in their outdoor spaces and terraces, duly equipped to offer a comfortable and fully guaranteed experience. “We continue to work so that the pioneering spirit of La Cata del Barrio de la Estación remains active, the Association’s wineries have their doors open for visitors who want to come at any time of the year and enjoy an environment full of history and wine culture”, says María Urrutia.
For tickets that have already been purchased in advance, both online and directly, the organisation offers the possibility of keeping the 2020 and 2021 tickets for 2022, without the need for any change.
As a thank you to those who decide to keep their tickets for next year, they will be able to enjoy two wines and a visit per ticket to one of the Association’s wineries, which they will be free to choose and enjoy when they visit them during 2021.
However, it will also be possible to request a refund of the amount of the advance ticket, regardless of whether it was purchased by physical or telematic means.
The new edition, on which work has already begun, will have the same philosophy and characteristics as the event planned for 2021. The six participating wineries (Bodegas RODA, Bodegas Bilbaínas Viña Pomal, CVNE, Bodegas Muga, La Rioja Alta, S.A., and Gómez Cruzado) will offer two wines each, as well as various dishes and a dessert prepared by renowned chefs.
