- The historic area of Haro inaugurates its wine and tapas route, once again welcoming one of the most special times of the year.
The Barrio de la Estación, with the help of representatives from Bodegas RODA, Muga, Gómez Cruzado, CVNE and La Rioja Alta, S.A., has switched on Christmas, turning this unique enclave into a perfect destination to enjoy with family or friends during this special time of year. The event, which was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural World and Environment of the Government of La Rioja, Ms. Noemí Manzanos, and the Mayoress of Haro, Ms. Guadalupe Fernández, marked the beginning of the lighting and sound system of the emblematic buildings of the winery houses, as well as the streets of the neighbourhood. The Haro Polyphonic Choir and a hot chocolate tasting accompanied the public who came to witness the event.
Christmas brings back to the Barrio de la Estación its successful wine and tapas route which will take place from 18:00 to 20:30 on 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16 December and which will allow you to enjoy, for every glass of wine worth more than 4€, the gift of a free tapa while stocks last.
As Manuel Muga, president of the Barrio de la Estación Association, told the attendees, “the Christmas atmosphere is just another experience that adds to a long list of actions promoted by the associated wineries, with the aim of creating a unique destination to return to time and time again”.
The Barrio de la Estación wants its visitors to share those special moments that will take place these days in every corner of its wineries. That is why they are launching a photographic competition on Instagram in search of the most original publication that best conveys the Christmas spirit in the Barrio. The winning photograph will be awarded a double ticket for the next edition of La Cata del Barrio de la Estación, which will take place on 15 June 2024.
