Welcome to the website of La Cata del Barrio de la Estación, a unique event that proposes a magical journey to the golden mile of Rioja wine.

Haro’s Barrio de la Estación is a unique and extraordinary space, born in the midst of the Industrial Revolution. Around one of the first railway stations in Spain, a series of wineries decided to establish themselves in order to take advantage of the advances of the 19th century and make their wine reach beyond our borders. More than 150 years have passed, some have disappeared and others have been added to form the 7 names of today: Bodegas Bilbaínas, Gómez Cruzado, La Rioja Alta S.A., López de Heredia, Muga, Roda and CVNE; all of them world leaders in the Rioja designation of origin thanks to their high quality wines.

And for the first time, the 7 wineries have joined forces to hold a great event together in their own Barrio, an enclave that still maintains the magic of the 19th century, with perfectly preserved stone buildings and modernist decoration.

The event aims to consolidate itself as an essential annual event for wine lovers and seeks to relaunch the Barrio as an exceptional wine tourism destination worldwide and unique in Spain, on a par with other wine-growing areas such as Bordeaux (France), Tuscany (Italy) or Napa Valley (USA).
