The second edition of Barrio Estación Magazine delves into the major events that took place in 2025, focusing on its twinning with Burgundy and the visit of His Majesty King Felipe VI to celebrate Rioja’s centenary.

The Barrio de la Estación Association, made up of CVNE, Bodegas Gómez Cruzado, La Rioja Alta, S.A., Bodegas Bilbaínas, Muga and Bodegas RODA, has reissued its digital magazine Barrio Estación Magazine, highlighting the collaborative actions carried out over the past year. On this occasion, the publication focuses on the International Wine Encounters event, the third edition of which took place in May, offering a comprehensive summary of the event, the wines featured and the participating wineries. It provides a window onto the prestigious region of Burgundy, introducing its ambassadors who, together with local winemakers, share their impressions of the successful event in a very personal interview.

The centenary celebration of the D.O.Ca. Rioja, which took place in the historic setting of the Barrio de la Estación and was attended by His Majesty King Felipe VI, also occupies a fundamental part of the magazine, offering a detailed summary of the events of 5 June and providing a reflective look at the details leading up to the royal visit.

The enclave’s commitment to being a destination open to the public throughout the year is evident in its Tours and Passports, attractive wine tourism experiences that invite readers to discover the Barrio de la Estación as a whole, delve into its history and broaden their knowledge of its wines.

A historical overview of the three editions of International Wine Encounters shows its progress, consolidating its position as an essential event in the sector. Proof of this is the review by wine writer Juancho Asenjo, who describes the event as a national ‘milestone’, placing special value on the association of the Barrio de la Estación wineries.

A comprehensive album of images, a look at wine culture and a showcase of the other family of the Barrio de la Estación complete this second issue, which can now be enjoyed here.
